Knowlarity API Hackathon

At the time of going to press as it were, our Knowlarity hackathon is in full swing.  The curtain was raised at 10:00 a.m. but some diehard developers were literally banging at the door even earlier.  At 10:30 a.m. the participants were introduced to Knowlarity and given the details of the problem statement, which was to use Knowlarity’s SmartIVR to build interesting products. Enthused, the attendees, in teams of 3 to 5, started hacking right away.  The attendance was great with over 10 teams participating.

Entertainment was provided in the form of our co-founder turned DJ, Subhendu Panigrahi, who handled music requests that were tweeted in.

Lunch time was a relatively quiet affair since most of the coders were hard at work. But the food was excellent!

Around 6 p.m., just before tea, the first submission, from Team Smarter IVR, came in, much to the our consternation and that of the other competitors. But, the other competitors have nothing to worry about since, as Rahul Aswani, one of the contestants, pointed out,  their 24 hours aren’t up yet!

As the event progresses, we see the developers having their first shots of caffeine to prepare them for the night ahead. We expect to see more submissions shortly. The presentation ceremony, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, promises to be exciting! For now, signing off from the hackathon. A detailed report will soon follow…
