As we’ve been telling you for a while now, the #IBMInclude Hack is one of the biggest upcoming events we have lined up. We couldn’t be more excited. And we think India’s bright, young engineering students (the event is exclusively for you) should share our sentiment. The mega event is going to play out over many weeks and in this new blog, we are bringing you exciting new details (as we had promised earlier).
Through the #IBMInclude programme, engineering students, from across the country, can score the opportunity of a lifetime – the chance to be mentored (as well as win internship offers) by IBM. The programme has kickstarted with an online challenge (you can read all about it here) that tests basic skills. The online challenge started off in late July and will continue till the 21st of August, 2016. Thousands of students have already taken the test. And we look forward to more students signing up for the challenge by the time the deadline swings by.
Now, many of you are eager to know what happens next. And we’re sharing all the juicy details with you, right here. Once you’ve passed the initial test, you’ll receive an invite to IBM’s Hack Camps that are happening across 8 cities in India. You can head to the Hack Camps in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Indore.
The Hack Camps will focus on three key areas – Mobility, Cognitive Computing, and Data Analytics. Three separate hack camps will be conducted for each on these topics, in each of the selected cities. Experts from these fields will be roped in and will share their rich experience on these three broad topics. This an unmissable opportunity to learn from the best!
Everyone who attends these Hack Camps will also be invited to a final Hackathon in their respective cities. This event will unfold in the second-half of September. And some of the best engineers and leaders from IBM will be present at the event to guide you. You can also gain hands-on experience in IBM’s coveted technology – Bluemix.
The hackathon will give you a platform to shine. You will be given the opportunity to showcase the skills and knowledge that you have picked up during your engineering years. Those who shine the brightest stand a chance to not just bag internship opportunities but also job offers from IBM.
So, what are you waiting for? Sign up for the online challenge right away!
