Venturesity conducted a speedy hiring event- VentureHack, on Sunday, June 22nd. Team Venturesity gave a shout out to job seekers and startups looking for talents two days prior to the event via blogs and online communities.
Around 150 applicants had appeared for the three-rounds of interview. The event was initiated with a written test for 90 minutes. There were three sets of question papers, each comprising of 50 multiple choice questions. For every right answer, the candidate scored two marks, for every wrong attempt, one mark got deducted. Those who cleared the cut-off range proceeded for the open-book coding round. Programmers were to showcase their coding skills in real time. The last round comprised of meeting startups. Startups shortlisted candidates who fitted their needs most and called them for the final round of discussion to their respective offices.
This event was a great way by which we successfully assessed the candidates and got them connected with prospective startups. One of the candidates Preetham told us “I had attended the Venturehack at your office on Sunday. About the initiative, it was a really good opportunity for every one. I enjoyed the aptitude round which was more different than the others that I had attended so far, also spot programming was really good for people like us where we can show our real coding ability instead of asking a lot of theory. I really don’t feel bad even if I am not selected this time but I’ll try much better next time. I am so happy and impressed.”
Beaming at the fact that our initiative has helped job seekers and startups, we are gearing up for the second innings of this event on July 13th. If you are willing to put your skills to test and get hired, or looking for smart workers to join your team- join us in the event. Registrations are open now for jobseekers. Startups can ping us.
NB: We are also wearing our hiring hats. You might be our next team-player!
