All Ye Game Warriors! Here’s A Challenge From Corona Labs

The battle lines have been drawn. The players have donned their war paints and the war is in full swing. Want to get in on the virtual action? Don’t worry! There’s plenty of room on the battlefield for you to shine and conquer the title of a true, blue ‘Game Warrior’. Before you (wrongly) assume that we are encouraging you to participate in mindless, bloodshed, we’ll quickly clear up the air.

Corona Labs is holding a mega online challenge where coders who have a flair and love for all things gaming are invited to participate. The challenge started off on the 15th of April, but if you aren’t in yet, there’s still plenty of time to get your game face on! The challenge continues till the late hours of May 15th, so get applying now.

Once your application gets through, all you need to do is come up with a kickass educational app or game using the Corona Labs by Perk platform. Since their inception, Corona Labs has been steadfast in their mission to create mind blowing apps. To achieve this without fail, the company came up with Corona SDK, a super advanced 2D mobile development platform. Over the years, Corona SDK has become a favourite with everyone from enthusiasts to big studios, agencies, and gaming professionals from around the world. This is entirely because of the ease at which the tool allows you to create world-class apps.

Of course, at the end of the challenge, there is plenty of war booty to look forward to. The winners of the challenge can walk away from the battlefield with cash prizes of INR 35,000. They will also win a complimentary, one year enterprise licence for Corona that’s worth a cool $2,400 USD. You also stand a chance to showcase the app or game that you’ve built at a leading gaming conference in India.

So what are the rules? This is an online challenge from start to finish. You can build the app from the comfort of your home. While we encourage you to participate as an individual (who wants to share the prizes, right?), teams with a maximum of three members are allowed to participate. Once the deadline passes, our team of super-cool judges will get to work and choose the true Game Warriors.
